Simply Memorials Terms and Conditions
- 1. LAYOUT APPROVAL. It is the customers’ responsibility to make certain that the layout sent has the correct headstone, inscription, spelling etc. before approval. No memorials will be completed without the customers’ approval. Simply Memorials will not be held responsible for any mistakes not conveyed before approval after the order has been completed. Any alterations required after layout approval may be chargeable.
- 2. TERMS OF PAYMENT. Simply Memorials require a one off full payment when the customer is satisfied with the layout. It is advised that payment be made on the customers’ approval of layout to ensure prompt delivery. Installation of the memorial will not commence until all payments are received and verified. Payments sent by post are at sole risk of the customer.
- 3. REVISION OF PRICE. As Simply Memorials require prompt full payment upon layout approval any undue delays caused unduly by the customer not complying may incur revisions to there memorial quotation in consistency with current price list.
- 4. PAYMENT DISPUTES. Any payment disputes must be made in writing and received by Simply Memorials within 21 days of invoice.
5. CEMETERY/CHURCHYARD FEES. Quotations made by Simply Memorials do not include any cemetery/churchyard fees unless stated otherwise. It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure fees are paid. If the customer so wishes Simply Memorials can add the fees onto the invoice and complete the payment transaction upon request.
6. BURIAL GROUND REGULATIONS. Due to Burial Ground regulations alterations may be required in some instances. In any such case Simply Memorials will advise and seek the approval of the customer before any alterations etc are made.
7. DELIVERY & INSTALLATION OF MEMORIAL. Delivery/instalation will be approximately 12 weeks after receipt of full payment and the arrival of cemetery permit. NB. The type of memorial ordered and authorities issuing permits may delay installation of the memorial, however in some cases installation may be sooner. Simply Memorials will take no responsibility for delay due to weather conditions, non delivery of materials, labor disputes or any other reasons beyond there control.
8. ACCESS & SITUATION OF GRAVE. It is the customers’ responsibility to assess and notify Simply Memorials in the first instance if the grave cannot be accessed by a landing barrow or if the grave is situated on sloping ground. It is also the customers’ responsibility to clear the grave in readiness for the installation process. Simply Memorials reserve the right to impose additional charges in the event that extra labor/time is needed for the above reasons.
9. GRAVE LOCATION. To ensure the prompt installation and to reduce the risk of time wasting, customers are requested to place a clear marker on the grave and provide a clear map or sketch indicating the location of the grave as some are not marked and there is not always an attendant available.
10. GUARANTEE IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGE. All inscriptions will be incised by deep sandblasting. Any paints or gold leaf used can only be guaranteed for a reasonable length of time given the location and position of the individual memorial. In the event of any damage being caused during transit or installation Simply Memorials will advise the customer and repair or replace the memorial at no extra cost. This is at the sole discretion of Simply Memorials.
11. PHOTO PLAQUES. The quality of photo plaques depends entirely on the clarity and size of the photo provided. Simply Memorials take no responsibility for the quality of the reproduction. Simply Memorials reserve the right to remove any background of a photograph if deemed appropriate. Safe return of photographs provided is not guaranteed due to the re-production process but the utmost care will be taken.
12. CANCELLATION POLICY. Any cancellations are chargeable at Simply Memorials discretion. Simply Memorials reserve the right to cancel any order with reasonable cause i.e. non payment of invoice.
